CENTR approached DNGR to lead the industrial design development of the T7s; a flagship, commercial‑grade treadmill that needed to do two things: stand on its own as a premium machine, and set the design language for CENTR's entire treadmill range.

We started by studying the treadmill market inside and out. Every major player, from consumer to high‑end commercial, mapping where they positioned themselves and why their designs looked the way they did. This research showed us where CENTR could differentiate; not just in looks, but in solving the UX problems that plague most treadmills. We distilled this into three core design principles that would guide every decision: clarity of interface, ergonomic harmony, and architectural durability.

The concept work meant pushing boundaries while staying realistic. Our team worked hand‑in‑hand with CENTR's engineering from the very first design sketch, testing how far we could take proportions, handle shapes, and console placement without breaking manufacturability or commercial durability standards. We ran extensive usability studies with real users on existing machines, documenting every friction point: awkward reaches, confusing controls, uncomfortable grips. This real‑world feedback shaped everything from console angle and display height to grip textures and where people actually want to put their water bottles.

​​​​​​​The final T7s delivers on both fronts: it's a visual statement that performs like one too. Clean proportions, thoughtful material choices, and an interface that actually makes sense. It launched to raving reviews for its design and usability, establishing the foundation for every CENTR treadmill that follows.
